Certified Nursing Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides direct and indirect resident care activities under the direction of a RN or LPN.  Assists residents with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, comfort, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of residents.

EDUCATION/ SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent, preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current certification with the Alabama State Board of Health as Certified Nursing Assistant.

Director of Nursing

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the execution of nursing home policies and procedures; has administrative authority, responsibility and accountability for the functions, activities and training of the nursing service staff. 

EDUCATION/ SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Maintain current registration with the AL State Board of Nursing.  Must have minimum of two (2) years prior experience as a practicing RN. Advanced knowledge of geriatric nursing theory and practice including the basic knowledge related to nursing such as biological, physical, social, and medical sciences and their application for better understanding of resident care problems.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Must maintain current registration with the AL State Board of Nursing. 

Licensed Practical Nurse

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides direct and indirect resident care with the supervision of a RN.  Responsible for ensuring continuity of care between shifts by understanding residents’ needs, supervising auxiliary staff, and carrying out physician’s orders for a designated group of residents.

EDUCATION/ SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current licensure with the AL State Board of Nursing and/or multistate license (Nursys) as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Nursing Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care, and assists in   maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

 EDUCATION/ SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; satisfactory completion of in-house nursing assistant certification course is generally preferred (mandatory in some situations).

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
None

               

Registered Nurse

POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing care in the clinical setting.

EDUCATION/ SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current licensure with Alabama Board of Nursing as a registered nurse.
