Highlands Medical Center launches
Physician Referral Line
May 16, 2006
Scottsboro, Alabama - From primary care doctors to a range of surgeons, Highlands Medical Center has more than 40 physicians to meet your healthcare needs. Highlands Medical Center now offers an easy way to find the most appropriate physician for an individual’s needs. A Physician Referral Line has been established to connect local residents and local physicians.
Highlands Physician Referral Line, 218-3600, can inform you of the availability of area physicians, so that you do not have to travel out of town for your healthcare needs. If you are new in Jackson County, or do not currently have a physician, Highlands Physician Referral Line can make your search much easier and faster.
“We are very pleased to offer this new service” said Tom Lackey, CEO of Highlands Medical Center. “When we’re out in the community, a lot of people ask us about our physicians. “The Physician Referral Line is our response to that high level of interest.”
Highlands Medical Center has added a number of new physicians in the past few years and is in the process of recruiting additional specialty physicians to broaden its scope of services. Dr. Darby Marshall, an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist in Scottsboro, and Dr. Shoaib Khalil, an Internal Medicine specialist in Scottsboro and Pisgah, are the two newest physicians to join the Medical Staff at Highlands Medical Center.
