News Release Celebrate the life of someone special with Lights of Love October 30, 2009 Celebrate the life of someone special with Lights of Love
Highlands Foundation invites to you remember or honor the life of a friend or loved one, the first day of December each holiday season. It will prove a great family tradition as the Foundation has many beautiful memories in the making for you and your family.
Taking part in the Lights of Love Celebration is simple – all you need to do is send in your donation of five dollars or more per light, names of your friends or loved ones, and a light for each will be lit of the “lights of love tree”. During the celebration, Jerry Wheeler, Highlands Foundation Chairman, will read the names of those being honored.
Make plans now to attend the Inaugural Lights of Love Celebration at the Highlands Medical Center, December 1st. Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. in the front lobby, followed by the tree lighting service in the Highlands Courtyard.
Bring your entire family and join the Highlands Foundation, Scottsboro High School Jazz Band and Choir, Melanie Varner Dance Studio, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America for carols, hot chocolate and other seasonal festivities including a visit with Santa; and ultimately, take time to reflect on how much your friends and loved ones mean to you during the holiday season as well as the whole year through.
